Day 2 of the Gym Jones Intermediate course was an incredible experience. We took the tools and principles of diet, training and recovery that are taught in Fundamentals and reiterated in this weekend's course and put them together into actual training programs. I for one was not prepared for the mind-melt that occurred once I tried putting all the pieces together in a cohesive format that did not overload one energy system at the expense of the others. This is definitely going to take some practice, but it is great to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
There was, of course, some serious training involved in the weekend. You saw some pix in the previous post, here are some from the "Jonestown Sprint." 20 x Push Press @ 65#, 20 x Burpee Pullup, 10 x Push Press @ 65#, 10 Burpee Pullup done for time. Carolyn and I did our pullups on the rings to work around some shoulder and elbow issues. Not that pullups are easy for me, but when the support structure is swinging in the air they're definitely a bit more challenging! You can probably guess the hat came off after the first set of Burpee Pullups...
Mark Twight and Rob MacDonald did an outstanding job presenting such a depth of knowledge in a manner that is understandable. As I've said before, I highly recommend you check out their website and look through the material there, if you want to take your training and performance to the next level, it's invaluable!
On a final note to the folks in my kettlebell class. Be prepared!!

Looks like two awesome days. Had almost forgot about the 30:30 workout. I think I just might have a little presents for my own students soon....
