2011 Here we come!

Greetings all,

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's! Suzanne and I enjoyed a very white Christmas in Vermont and a fun New Year's in Vegas. We enjoyed a LOT of (too much...) home made food in New England. A caloric intake which we unsuccessfully attempted to reconcile with some snowshoeing...

Suzanne was invited to the New Year's event at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas so we got decked out and had a grand old time. Terrific restaurants and lots of fun at the Cosmopolitan.
Plus I got to meet Ray Leonard!!!

Anyway, the festivities are over and it's time to get back to work now! Sadly I am fighting a cold but hope to be back in full training mode some time next week.

So what's in store for 2011? First and foremost my book "The Martial Arts / Kettlebell Connection" should be on the shelves of your local book store any day now. I will be doing a bit of a promo tour for the book as well. It will be a 3-hour kettlebell/martial arts workshop with a copy of the book included with the price of attendance. Cities thus far are: LA, Bakersfield, Salt Lake City, Denver, Atlanta, Washington DC, Chicago and Bethlehem PA (Lehigh University). If you'd like to add your city to the tour or get information on a venue in your town please email me.

Also this year I plan on releasing a multi-part DVD series focusing on my All Range Kombat curriculum. All Range Kombat (ARK) develops elements of striking, grappling and weaponry in conjunction with a requisite level of fitness to be successful in your training. ARK's combative training is drawn from Filipino martial arts, silat, muay Thai, wing chun, jeet kune do and savate. The fitness portion of ARK comes from the Russian kettlebell and bodyweight exercises. ARK will get you ready for action!

That's it for now folks. I hope to see you on the tour!!

Until next time, always be smarter than the kettlebell!
