Hey all,
So last weekend started the instructional workshop tour I'm doing to promote my new book, "The Martial Arts / Kettlebell Connection." I was at CrossFit Koncepts in Gaithersburg, MD and Condition Gym in Atlanta, GA last weekend to kick things off. It was great catching up with Mike Krivka in MD and finally meeting Delaine Ross in Atlanta. Many thanks to you both for hosting me!
This weekend I'm at Gym Jones in Salt Lake City and Otomi Martial Arts in Denver. I actually arrived at GJ yesterday and have already had some great interaction with Mark, Rob and Lisa. It's always a breath of fresh air to come to GJ, I really love what they do out here. (And what they're teaching me to do!) I'm looking forward to teaching here on Saturday. With attendees who have placed or won big BJJ tournaments, and guys who can dead lift well over double their body weight, I know the level in both strength training and martial arts will be through the roof. It's going to be a great challenge for me to impart worthwhile information to folks with this kind of experience!
Then I head to Denver where my friend Vic Spatola has set up a workshop at Otomi Martial Arts on Sunday. Vic is a talented martial artist and fitness professional. I'm really looking forward to catching up with him on this quickfire trip!
So any of you in or near SLC or Denver, please come on down and take part in the workshop. It will be very technical, so don't worry if you don't know how to use kettlebells. You will learn, and you will learn safely! And don't worry if you're not a martial artist, you will NOT get punched in the face! But you will see how closely linked kettlebell training is to martial arts. You will see how training kettlebells will not only improve your general fitness but simultaneously improve your combat sports performance.
Two for one deals are usually not worth it. This one is!!
